Corinium Aerospace Design Limited

Design Engineer

Ideally the applicant will have studied Avionic and/or Electrical systems as part of their course and been exposed to the industry’s certification regulations.

Depending on Corinium’s projects at any time, the successful applicant may expect to work on producing equipment installation drawings (mechanical, wiring diagrams, schematics etc), as well as documentation demonstrating compliance to airworthiness requirements such as Certification Programmes, Equipment/ System Safety Assessments, and test plans/reports.

The applicant can also expect to communicate regularly with clients to address project requirements. He or she might also liaise with industry regulators such as EASA and national aviation authorities (e.g. our Civil Aviation Authority) with respect to demonstrating compliance. We believe this represents an excellent broad opportunity to enter the aviation industry.

The Design Engineer will be based at the company’s office in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, and must expect that from time to time he or she will be required to work on client premises. In our experience to date these are invariably in the south or south-west and the period away from Cirencester is generally short term.

In addition to the salary, which will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, Corinium will offer 4 weeks’ holiday and the pension benefit expected in any such employer. On-the-job training will be essential, and the company also supports appropriate external training courses.
