From redesigning our Branches to implementing a new core banking system, being part of our IT Graduate Programme will enable you to be at the heart of the area most closely linked to these projects. The changes we’re making will only serve to enhance the experience we provide to our members and you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring we exceed their expectations and continue to deliver an award winning service.

With a significant number of large transformation projects currently in progress you have the chance to join and make a real difference to the future of The Coventry Building Society.

Technology plays a central role in the way Coventry Building Society is run, maintaining the variety of systems necessary to a modern financial institution and developing new tools and techniques that give our Members the experience they deserve. Being directly involved with the projects responsible for replacing our core banking system, transforming our infrastructure and changing the way we work to incorporate more cloud based solutions means you’ll have the chance to work with experienced professionals helping them design and support the IT service we provide gaining invaluable skills and experience along the way.

The programme will be varied and we’ll provide the experience and support your need to develop a career in IT whether that’s helping us introduce new working methodologies like DevOps, supporting the implementation of cloud solutions such as AWS and Azure or ensuring we have robust IT security measures in place to make us as secure as possible.

  • Have / or expect to get a 2:1 or above or a Merit or above in a Masters qualification from a STEM or IT subject;

About The Company

Our Graduate Programme provides insight into the wider business in the form of dedicated sessions detailing the role that each function plays in our success. You will also complete placements in areas that deal directly with our members to help you understand the importance we place on ‘Members First’ as a business. In addition to the business knowledge you gain, we will support you in developing personal skills such as stakeholder engagement, communication and presentation delivery, as well as the technical skills you need to flourish within a busy IT department. You will attend development days and take on both individual and group projects that allow you to network and build strong relationships across the Society.
