Every Domino’s Pizza within the UK is a Franchise, we are known as Solent Pizza.
Solent Pizza started in 2003 with only 3 Stores in Hampshire. In 2011 Solent Pizza took a huge leap and expanded into Cardiff taking over 5 stores, by this time Hampshire had grown to 10 stores across Portsmouth and Southampton. We have been continually developing ever since, evolving our Top Team, opening more stores and launching our very own recruitment website. Now, in 2017, we have 23 stores in total, 14 in Hampshire and 8 in Cardiff. We have opened 2 new stores already this year and this momentum will continue, our goal is to get to 35+ stores, so still plenty of room for growth.
We have a support team above stores we call the “Top Team”, they support the stores in different ways which includes a Recruitment Department, a Marketing Department and our Accounts Team. We have 6 Directors in the company who each bring a wealth of knowledge into the business having over 150 years experience with the Domino Pizza brand between them, understanding the business in every aspect. Our 5 Area Managers work closely with the stores and Management to assist with the operational side of the business as well as ensure the correct procedures and training are in place.
We are extremely passionate about training and offer the best for our employees through a mix of classroom based theory and on the job practical training. We split our Manager in Training courses into three categories:
Working towards Shift Manager

You will need to attend training days 1, 2 and 3 where you can improve your knowledge on food safety, product quality, team needs and hustle. There will be 2 Assessments, one at week 4 and week 16. A final exam will need to take place and Area Manager or Director will officially sign you off on to the next stage
Working towards Assistant Manager
The intermediate training days 4, 5 and 6 are for employees who want to go that extra mile and face new challenges. These classes mainly expand on the knowledge acquired in the basic classes – for example improving on your team, our hiring process, training and learning styles. Admin procedures and developing your understanding of policies and procedures, and advancing your management skills. Again another exam will take place and an Area Manager or Director will sign you off.
