FactSet Consultants

Consultants are the essential connection between our clients and our software business. Face-to-face contact with leaders in the financial industry allows consultants to form personal relationships with clients and work together to develop more efficient ways to perform research and analysis.

Starting at FactSet as a Consultant allows you to get a broad understanding of our business and Consultants are expected to progress into Consulting Management, Sales or Product Development roles as they develop their careers with FactSet.

To help our consultants reach their full potential, we invest a great deal in our employees’ training and mentoring, starting with our five week new hire programme, which gives insight into our products, our clients, and the financial markets through classroom lectures and hands-on product assignments.

FactSet Software Engineers

Our teams in London work with some of the core parts of our product suite that include real time systems, messaging, content integration and analysis tools. Software Engineers will be driving reliability, data, infrastructure and applications that are a core part of the Global Investment Market. The solutions you will find will require high levels of original thinking and creativity. Our UK Engineering teams work on a wide variety of platforms (Windows, Linux, Unix and VMS) and in a number of core languages (C++, Java, Perl, JavaScript and C#) and thus we look to recruit not just programmers but “true” Software Engineers.

New hire training for software engineers provides a comprehensive overview of the role through classroom lectures and hands-on programming. FactSet educates new employees on the architecture of our system and the products we build.
