Analysts follow a structured two-year training programme when they join. Over the course of the programme, you will receive a series of training sessions alongside working on projects. These are weekly for the first six months and cover a range of technical and consulting skills, such as using different software packages, applying modelling techniques, time management and working with clients. 

As you will be working with clients from day one, we provide tailored training and support from professional executive trainers. They will help you improve your ability to build rapport, listen and engage effectively with clients. The trainers also provide one-to-one support in areas such as writing with impact and oral communication skills. 

You will build experience in applying what you have learned through your work with clients on a range of projects across each of our practices. Typically, you will work on two to four projects at any one time. Right from the start you will write and present client reports; build models; deliver regression analysis and brainstorm economic frameworks. Analysts are also encouraged to join our ‘remit’ teams, which help shape how the company runs. You could be writing the weekly staff newsletter, planning our annual Christmas party or even be responsible for developing and delivering the induction week for Analysts the following year. 

With small project teams, exposure to clients from day one and training where you need it, your career will develop quickly. As you develop towards being a Consultant you will decide where your interests lie, where you would like to specialise and ultimately which practice(s) you wish to work in.
