What is your role in the team?
As a consultant in our digital team, my role is account management and strategy. My USP within the Digital team is also visual content creation.
What are your main responsibilities on a day-to-day basis?
I advise clients on digital and social media channel strategy, expansion and content creation. My clients include one of the largest property development and investment companies in Europe, FTSE 100 companies and a global multinational.
What is your greatest achievement/proudest moment/highlight so far?
I established an Instagram for the Leadenhall Building and executed a landmark social media campaign surrounding the official opening of the building. It achieved unprecedented levels of engagement and national media coverage.
What training and support have you received so far?
I have received extensive training in corporate, financial and digital communications, including media training with industry experts, financial monitoring and reporting, and digital analysis.
What attracted you to FTI's graduate scheme?
The ability to rotate around industry sector teams during the graduate scheme is what attracted me to FTI as you have the opportunity to gain a vast level of experience across both financial and corporate communications within a year.
What sort of people do you work with?
Working in the multi-sector digital practice, within my team and across FTI, I work with many industry experts. My clients range across real estate, energy, retail and international companies. Consultants spend a lot of time talking to journalists and analysts, and the internal communications teams of our clients. It is not uncommon to be on email chains with C-suite executives, which is great exposure.
How did you come to be on this graduate scheme?
After completing a two week internship at FTI during my second year of University, I applied for the Graduate scheme having really enjoyed my time at the company and the people I worked with. Strategic Communications also suited my interests in media and current affairs, having studied Politics and Economics for my degree.
What have you been involved in outside of the day-to-day?
I am involved with the Balance Network, an internal network committed to promoting and supporting diversity and inclusion in the workplace. They host regular events and forums for people to attend.
FTI also holds regular events and sponsors sporting teams so there are plenty of opportunities to bond with colleagues across the business, through the netball and football teams, tennis days, and events such as the JP Morgan run.
What do you most value about working at FTI?
My team and the people I work with within FTI, the training I have received and the interesting clients that I work with.
