(based on 15 ratings in 2016)

2016

"I move departments every six months on rotation so the work varies. Most of the time work is very stimulating. For example, I've been allowed to work on valuations from start to finish. Obviously, the graduates are also sometimes given menial tasks to do as well."

"I regularly meet with clients, which shows that the firm has faith in me. I like the high level of responsibility."

"Working client side has been a fantastic opportunity and pushes you to learn and be as strong/professional as you can possibly be. The one disadvantage is the slight disconnect that comes with being out of the office. It would be good to have a few sessions in the office per month to focus and direct your understanding."
Graduate, London
"I have a mixed day-to-day role in which I undertake various tasks from business rates appeals to negotiating rent reviews."

"I am in charge of submitting and monitoring small planning applications on a day-to-day basis. I have to liaise with the Council and the project team for the granting of planning permission. I play an assisting role in larger projects."
Graduate, London
"I mostly do valuation work of specialist properties such as healthcare, education and charities. It is very interesting as I get to inspect various buildings such as churches, police stations and nurseries. It can be difficult finding comparable information due to the general lack of transactions but the specialist nature of the properties makes every day different. I also get to get involved in some agency work which makes my role even more varied and exciting."
Graduate, London
"I work within the asset management team based in the Milton Keynes office. Each client has their own direct relationship with a team of surveyors and client care is at the forefront of what we do. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting up service charge budgets, rent reviews, property management and leasing/letting of sublet premises."
Graduate, Milton Keynes
"Initially I was relied upon to provide background work into reports which include searching for comparable evidence, market commentaries, location, situation and description, planning, etc. As my experience increased I am now producing my own reports and undertaking my own valuations which are then checked by at least one partner."
Graduate, London
"My role includes preparing, submitting and monitoring planning applications and working on site appraisals and due diligence reports."
Graduate, London
"We act on behalf of clients in respect of negotiating rent reviews, lease renewals and lease re-gears. I am mainly responsible for collecting rental evidence prior to negotiations, drafting reports, completing lease summaries, undertaking inspections, etc."
Graduate, London
"In the regional office, I am not designated to a specific department whilst undertaking my APC. I have the opportunity to be involved with a variety of different roles every day."
