Gibson Dunn is one of the top law firms in the world with a London practice established over 30 years ago. We work on a fully integrated basis with our other offices around the world, offering full-service capabilities on a wide range of business issues to listed companies, large private companies, investment banks, private equity firms, start-up ventures and many other organisations with international operations and ambitions.
Main areas of work
The London office handles all aspects of corporate work, including public and private M&A, private equity, finance, capital markets, tax, commercial real estate and restructuring and insolvency. The office also has an extensive dispute resolution practice, handling commercial litigation, regulatory investigations, international arbitration and employment and competition law disputes.
Why train at Gibson Dunn?
Gibson Dunn is one of the world's leading law firms. Our lawyers work on some of the highest-profile deals and disputes, involving cutting-edge legal issues often across multiple jurisdictions for a wide range of clients, many of whom are household names.
You will be part of a group of intellectually bright, ambitious and high-achieving trainees, and get first-class, hands-on experience from day one. Unlike the reality of trainee life at many other law firms, Gibson Dunn trainees assume a high level of responsibility in each and every matter they work on, and have the opportunity to help develop client relationships at an early stage.
The nature and complexity of the work we do means that there is often no precedent to turn to. Our lawyers must therefore be intellectually flexible, with a keen eye for the commercial aspects of our clients' day-to-day business. We believe that this environment provides a superb opportunity for trainees to start their legal career.
