Ben was recruited through our annual graduate recruitment process in 2005. He was promoted to Acquisitions & Development Director in 2011 and appointed to the Goldcrest Board of Directors in 2014. In 2016 he was promoted to Managing Director with full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the business: responsible for delivering the group acquisition program and budget, directing the development and technical teams to ensure that projects proceed according to plan and that all technical and planning issues are satisfactorily resolved and handling all sites disposals to deliver maximum profitability. The aim of our Graduate Program is to provide Goldcrest with Directors of the future; for graduates who can display a high entrepreneurial drive, who never take no for an answer and have a tremendous capacity for hard work the opportunity is there as Ben has displayed.

The Goldcrest Graduate Development Program is a truly unique experience aimed at creating tomorrow’s developers. Graduates are exposed to real acquisition and development work and have direct access to, and work with, all of the Company’s senior executives, external consultants and other decision makers giving them a fast track experience to becoming a successful property developer. The development program is designed to meet the individual needs of each graduate so that by the end of it they are able to perform independently at a very high level. During their 2 years’ training they acquire exceptional understanding of the acquisition and development process to enable them to add real value to the Company whilst successfully developing their career. There is nothing more personally satisfying for me than when a graduate is able to demonstrate the skills he or she has learned through the process and can tangibly contribute to our winning and successful team.
