"The culture is outstanding and has greatly exceeded my expectations. While there is a hierarchy on paper, you don't feel an overwhelming sense of hierarchy within the teams themselves. Everyone is happy to help everyone and this sense of teamwork really sets the firm apart. It is also a fantastic culture for a trainee as it means you can learn quickly and get the best out of your training."

"Overall, the firm has a very positive culture and is friendly and welcoming. There is not as much hierarchy as one would expect in a firm of this size and teamwork within and across departments is encouraged."
First year trainee, Birmingham
"This is very dependent on the team you are in. Some teams are excellent at socialising outside of work and you can almost expect weekly after-work drinks. Some other teams rarely go out for drinks and interact less during the day."
Second year trainee, London
"The firm is very friendly and has a cohesive atmosphere that runs throughout. Partners are generally approachable and trainees are seen as valued and integral members of the team, rather than the most subordinate."
Second year trainee, London
"The culture is fantastic. There is no noticeable hierarchy and everyone is willing and happy to help one another whenever possible. There is also a strong culture of maintaining a work/life balance, with partners encouraging the team to go home on time when possible. While it is team dependent, mine is very sociable and often goes for drinks and holds events. This really helps you to develop relationships with colleagues, making work more enjoyable."
First year trainee, Birmingham
"The culture here is great and there is no hierarchy. Everyone is down to earth and very understanding and you are not expected to work long hours unnecessarily."
First year trainee, Birmingham
"The firm is very friendly and inclusive, with a lot of support available to employees. There are also lots of social activities outside of work to get involved with, which are circulated in a daily email."
First year trainee, Birmingham
"This varies according to office location and department but it's generally a very friendly and pleasant place to work. The majority of partners are approachable and happy to help."
Second year trainee, London
"The culture is great and people seem to genuinely get on in both professional and social settings."
