What summer placements are on offer?

If you are a motivated undergraduate, expecting a 2:1 or higher who thrives on responsibility we could have the summer placement for you. Our summer placements last between 8 and 12 weeks and provide an excellent opportunity to gain insights into life and work in our global healthcare company. We’ll provide you with challenging assignments – plus all the support you’ll need to make the most of the experience. We have summer placement opportunities in the below teams.

Corporate Secretariat

Learn how a Global listed company functions at the centre by joining Corporate Secretariat. Understand how the Board interacts with its CEO and Executive Team. Understand how companies respond to feedback from shareholders. Get an overview of the corporate structure and how it facilitates the effective operations of the Group.

Supply Chain

A supply chain summer internship will provide you with an excellent opportunity to gain an understanding of the complexities of supplying a range of pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare products to patients around the world. During your summer with us, you’ll gain an all-round view of supply chain management within a large, global healthcare company.


Finance in our business is not just about numbers. It’s about adding value and shaping strategy for the business. Our finance team works in partnership with the whole organisation to drive business planning, manage costs and maximise our cash flow. This helps us to generate new revenue for investment in research and development (R&D) and enhance returns for our shareholders.

Business and Technology

A Business and Technology Consultant at GSK exists to bring compliance, globalisation, productivity and innovation to our operations. Within Information Technology (IT) it is about utilising technology as part of our strategic journey to deliver life enhancing healthcare that enables people to do more, feel better and live longer. Our Business and Technology summer internship offers the unique opportunity to be involved at the heart of one of the most exciting and challenging learning environments in the company.
