My client develops software systems that are used by distribution companies both in the UK and globally. Their systems are well respected in the industry and considered the market leader.
The position is that of a Sales Consultant and you will be responsible for producing leads and arranging meetings for the new business sales teams. This is to increase sales through contacting external business to gauge their interest in the client’s products whilst also being responsible for data management/cleansing as well as organisation of campaigns and research.
The Main duties of the position are:
Lead and Business Generation
The main focus of the roles as mentioned will be to find business, qualify it and arrange a meeting for the Sales Team as well as to take part in sales activity to established clients and prospects. This will include any follow up activity where necessary to develop strong relationships with clients to increase the financial opportunity to the business. You would also monitor your own call rates and lead generation successes and adjust these accordingly to make sure that you are working as effectively as possible whilst keeping thorough notes on the internal CRM. The successful candidate would also need to have a strong bond with the sales team and to answer phone calls from existing or potential customers in response to campaigns and advertisements as well as responding to information requests.
Research and Marketing Activities
You would assist the Marketing Team with promotional material relating to specific campaigns in addition to managing various marketing campaigns. This would mean working with the Marketing Team to sell space at exhibitions to business partners for the client’s annual conference to achieve business targets. You will also be required to work with a large database of contacts, to create & maintain the client CRM system this is to monitor and document the most appropriate decision-makers within targeted businesses. The successful candidate would have to carry out market research via telesales to find out what products business currently utilise whilst promoting and selling my clients products. This is to assess direct competitors by analysing their information and trends with a mind to recognising further sales opportunities.
It is essential that you possess a passion for sales and generating new business. This is in addition to having outstanding planning and organisational skills
It would be beneficial to applicants to have experience in sales and knowledge of IT/Software.
It would also be desirable that you are educated to a Degree level or have equivalent work based experience
My client is looking for a candidate who has excellent communication skills in both verbal and written forms
You must be able to manage and organise yourself as you will have an ever increasing task list and you must be able to work through it as quickly and efficiently as possible as well as being able to work under pressure and deadlines
The successful applicant must have strong interpersonal skills and an ability to develop excellent relationships both internally with other members of staff specifically the sales and marketing teams as well as with external clients.
This role requires a valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle as the role requires some travel.
