Horizon Teachers

Graduate Jobs in Primary Education

We are currently recruiting graduates who are interested in beginning a career within the Early Years and Primary Education.

The work that we can offer you is full-time, long-term as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or Early Years Assistant within Primary Schools across the London Boroughs. Positions are available to work in Nursery, Reception, Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 classes.

There are fantastic professional development opportunities available, in the form of on-the-job training (for example autism awareness and Makaton training), development courses to attend on School Training days (such as behaviour management techniques and safeguarding) and teacher training prospects (for example partaking in studies via the School Direct or Teach First courses).

The Primary Schools that we work with pride themselves on the encouragement and support they provide for their staff and children, and their working relationships with the parents and carers, as they strongly believe that a child's learning is not confined to the School environment and that in developing and nurturing these relationships, a child gains the confidence to develop positive attitudes to learning.

As a company, Horizon Teachers are a dedicated and compassionate team of specialist consultants who take the time to know the desires you have for the position you are searching for, the needs of the Schools that we work with and the requirements of the child/ren you will be supporting. We do this so that we can offer you your ideal job, and make the best match for the School and pupil(s).

Applicants need to have a confident, professional and proactive attitude, and a desire to work with children and in the education sector. Previous experience working in a School and/or supporting those with SEN would be beneficial but is not essential.
