Howard Kennedy has undergone huge change over the last three years, encompassing two mergers and culminating in our move to stunning offices on the river at No.1 London Bridge.
We are a full-service law firm with 51 Partners and 170 fee-earners and have particular expertise in Real Estate, Corporate and Dispute Resolution. We also offer depth across a number of sectors including high-net-worth individuals; financial services; media and technology; sports individuals; and retail and leisure. Our clients are high achievers in a range of fields, operating as entrepreneurs; owner-managers of their businesses; or running a family business, both within the UK and internationally.
We typically take on between 10 – 12 trainees per year and trainees rotate seats every 6 months. Trainees will complete seats within each of our core areas and will be consulted with about seat preferences throughout their training contract. We offer a comprehensive trainee development programme encompassing sessions on both commerciality and business skills, as well as sessions designed to improve your legal knowledge. You will receive support throughout from an allocated mentor and will be working in a collaborative and cohesive environment.
We want trainees who reflect our diverse client base and who are able to bring a range of experience and skills to the firm. We look for trainees who can work collaboratively rather than in competition with each other and who bring a mature attitude to their work, whilst still being able to have fun. We offer early responsibility, client contact and the opportunity to get involved in business development from the outset, in our non-hierarchical and meritocratic culture. You will have exposure to city quality work yet can balance your interests outside of work. We offer an environment that allows development and where your personality can really flourish. At Howard Kennedy, you'll find the opportunity to make a real difference in an environment where your contribution will really be noticed.
