About the role – SEN Teaching Assistant

This amazing role will allow you to put your theoretical knowledge into practise at a lovely primary school in Manchester. You will work under the guidance of the SENCo to support a little boy in year 2 who is on the Autistic Spectrum. He has a learning plan in place carefully devised by the school which you will play a huge part of! You will work with a fantastic team of support staff who will be on hand throughout the day and you will even be working with other graduates.

Person Specification – Psychology graduate

You must be a recent graduate who has a passion for education and supporting children with SEN. This role would be ideally suited to a Psychology graduate who has a good understanding of developmental disorders. A ‘firm but fair’ approach is key to this role along with a resilient personality. Ideally you will have some experience of working with children, not necessarily in a school.
