Imperial Tobacco

Graduate Internships

About us

As part of the FTSE 30 company Imperial Brands PLC, Imperial Tobacco has thrived at the top of our industry for over a century. From Lambert & Butler to John Player Special, Rizla to Skruf, we’ve launched one successful brand after another. And at every step of the way, we’ve been improving, remaking and reimagining what we can do.

Our operating model is tuned towards customer-centricity and agility – and the secret to its success is the thousands of people who work here.

Join us on a summer internship or year in industry placement, and you’ll get involved in real projects from the start, working – and learning from – some of the most talented, yet down-to-earth professionals in the industry.

And what about you?

As long as you’ve got the legal right to work in the UK, we’re more interested in the skills you bring, than the class – or subject – of your degree.  You will be driven, results-oriented, curious, flexible, respectfully-challenging and solutions-chasing. You love problem-solving and have a ‘growth mindset’ in order to improve and learn to shape our success.

The Opportunity

We have both a summer internship programme and industry placements on offer. Our summer internship programme is 6-8 weeks and aims to give you a broad overview as to how our business fits together. You could find yourself working in marketing, corporate and legal affairs, procurement, IS, business transformation, strategy and insights, corporate development, communications or HR. Wherever you join, this is your chance to strengthen your skills, gain valuable experience and see if we could be part of your future on our Generalist Management Programme.

On the other hand, our industry placements allow you to focus on one specific corporate function that you might be particularly passionate about and looking to obtain career experience within.

If you would like to find out more, please come along to one of our events. Our graduate recruitment team will be visiting University of West England on 2nd and 18th October 2017, London Business School on 4th October 2017, University of Bristol on 10th October 2017, University of Exeter on 17th October 2017, University of Bath on 20th October 2017 and University College London on 14th November 2017. We look forward to seeing you.

Salary/Benefits

It’s important we show you how much we value your contribution. You’ll receive a salary of £20,000 (pro rata), work in a flexible working environment and have access to a free on-site gym and Astroturf sports facilities. It’s our way of saying ‘thank you’.
