"I work 8:00am-4:00pm with half an hour for lunch. I find that my hours are relatively flexible; once you are settled in you can come in at 10:00am (assuming you don't have any meetings) and work till 6:00pm instead. I am expected to work longer hours where necessary to get tasks completed."

"I work 37 hours a week. There are flexi-hours, so you can do hours whenever you like as long as you're in the office 10:00am-2:00pm and do your 37 hours a week."
Placement Student, Leeds
"I work a standard 9:00am-5:30pm that is expected. I often stay until about 6:00pm, sometimes later - however, this is not generally encouraged."

"I work from 8:00am-4:30pm Monday to Thursday which is great if you have plans on weekday evenings and on Friday I work is 8:00am-1:00pm, which is fantastic, especially if you want to go away for the weekend."

"I work 8:45am-5:00pm with a 45 minute lunch. Flexi-time is encouraged, and so far I have not had to work over the set working hours. There are opportunities to work from home too."
Placement Student, High Wycombe
"My normal working hours are 8:45am-5:00pm, with the core hours being 10:00am-3:00pm, however I am sometimes in early to set up for the projects that I run. The company offer flexible working where I can flex my time and leave earlier on one day if I have made the hours up earlier in the week."

"I work 9:00am-5:00pm, however, this time is flexi-time which means that if I get the bus to work, I don't need to worry as much about being late, and can come in early, and this works much better for me (and other employees)."

"There are no crazy hours at Johnson & Johnson; my managers wouldn't allow long hours as it is not what is necessarily expected of you."
Intern, Maidenhead
"I work from 9:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Thursday and from 9:00am to 4:00pm on Fridays. You are not expected to stay late, and it is completely up to your own discretion. I have found that some days you will stay late if you have work that needs completing."
Marketing, Intern, Maidenhead
"I work 9:00am to 5:00pm in the office on most days. However, I have regularly been out of the office in meetings, conferences, working from home, hospital visits, etc."
Marketing, Intern, Wokingham
"I work from 9:00am to 5:30pm, but the hours here are flexible, so that we can arrive later without it being a problem, and we just have to be prepared to stay late occasionally if something needs finishing."
Finance, Intern, Maidenhead
"All employees at Janssen are required to work 37 hours a week, however, the company offers employees flexi-time so if I needed to make an appointment in the morning, I am able to make up the time later in the week. This is a positive for me as it gives me great flexibility. If I am very busy at work, I am happy to stay later to get the work done!"
Marketing, Intern, High Wycombe
"Johnson & Johnson has a flexible hour scheme that you can utilise, which allows you to work around times that suit you, so long as you work 38 hours during the week."
