"I can be working on a few matters at any one time with responsibility for drafting agreements and communicating with clients from the start. On larger deals the 'typical' trainee responsibilities also take up a significant amount of time (dataroom management, managing enquiries and checklists etc)."

"I have negotiated and drafted key transaction documents. I juggle real estate, corporate and litigation work on a day-to-day basis and I liaise directly with clients."
Second year trainee, London
"I've been fortunate to work as part of a team on a high-profile investigation into the collapse of a major high street retailer. The strategic aspects of the investigation are particularly interesting. I've also participated in some interesting property and corporate deals."

"The quality of work is great. I have many friends at other firms and I can honestly say that none of them are involved in deals to the extent that I am. I have even been involved (numerous times) in drafting share purchase agreements, ancillary documents to the deal and reports on title etc."
Second year trainee, London
"I work on various litigation matters that naturally involve court work such as drafting affidavits and making applications. I've also managed matters such as meetings with clients to discuss strategy and reporting on the various stages of proceedings."
Second year trainee, London
"I've been given a mixture of substantive legal work and the usual trainee legwork. I've definitely had more responsibility than friends are getting at other big firms."
First year trainee, London
"I've had a very high level of work compared to what my peers at other firms get. Every day is different depending on the cases and/or transactions I am working on. I might be involved in research, drafting, administrative tasks, sitting in on client meetings/calls or drafting letters. It is certainly never boring."
First year trainee, London
"There's a good balance between high responsibility on smaller matters, eg negotiating a lease, and less responsibility on larger matters that allow you to see how the deal progresses."
First year trainee, London
"I participate in the typical trainee tasks such as document review and drafting of ancillaries etc but I have also been given numerous intellectually and professionally stimulating tasks on transactions that that I think are not typically given to trainees at other firms. These include: drafting of share purchase agreements, fund instruments and other key documentation; discussions with clients of draft documentation; and running exchange and completion calls."
Second year trainee, London
"I get very good work and I am constantly pushed to do more challenging tasks and take on a larger role in transactions."
