"I was very surprised with how much we got paid. It didn't actually say it was paid when I was applying for the internship so this was obviously a massive bonus! Saying this, the costs of commuting and rent pretty much equalled my wage. I understand that this is London living."
Intern, London
"I think the company should compensate people for travel time as this can get very expensive."
Intern, London
"It's good for the work you do and the office hours."
Intern, London
"The pay is very reasonable."

"Working and living in London for the duration of the internship is costly. I understand that it's difficult to pay interns more but I think that this is what prevents a lot of people deciding to apply for internships. The pay is comparable with other companies, however."

"Remuneration at the company is good: it is nice to be paid as many internships are unpaid."
Capital Markets, Intern, London
"In my experience, remuneration was not very high, due to the fact that I was paid minimum wage and my transport costs were high, but as an unqualified intern the fact that the internship was paid at all was a bonus."
Intern, London
"Remuneration is enough to get by for the month, just covering my necessary expenses. That said, for a four week internship I wouldn't expect much more, and all of my site inspection travelling expenses were reimbursed too."
Intern, London
"I thought that the remuneration was very generous."
Intern, London
"I undertook a two week work placement, and I thought that it was very good that the company pays its interns. Interns usually just want great exposure and experience, so it is an added bonus that you also get paid."
Intern, London
"I would happily have undertaken the internship for no pay due to the invaluable experience I gained and how much I learnt throughout my time here. That said, it was wonderful to have expenses covered, and to gain large remuneration."

"We are paid £250 a week which is great. When living in London it really is necessary for interns to be paid and I think it's a disgrace that companies still get away with not paying interns. It makes the company look bad I think. Generosity is very important and KF have been."
London
"Remuneration was very good. The firm covered my train costs (£20 per day) and paid for the clothes needed to suit the working environment."
London
"The amount we received seems to be standard across most internships within the property sector. I would have done the internship even if it had been unpaid."
London
"The remuneration you receive is very good and means that the internship is open to significantly more people."
