When did you join Finmeccanica?

After completing an Industrial Placement in the Human Resources department at the Company and an undergraduate degree at Lincoln University, I was offered a graduate position at Finmeccanica at the Luton site. I joined the Graduate Scheme in July 2014 as a Graduate HR Advisor at the Luton site and I am thoroughly enjoying the role.

Tell us about your typical day?

There isn’t a typical working days as a Graduate HR Advisor; every day is different which I enjoy. I usually get into work at 8am with varying amounts of meetings.

I started looking after the Manufacturing and Supply Chain function in August 2014 and I’m also involved in the Company’s continuous improvement group ‘Fit for Future’. I am the HR representative for the site Charity Committee and the Project Manager for a HR strategy work stream, in addition to various projects and initiatives at a UK level, supporting other functional areas when needed.

What do you enjoy about working at Leonardo?

I enjoy working at Finmeccanica as I have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of projects and Company initiatives, as well as being able to develop both myself and my career. The Graduate Development Programme is great for developing softer skills, whilst being able to develop our technical and professional skills through day to day work.
