Graduate Management Development Programme

Two years. One intensive programme. Huge responsibility. A lot of hard work. And some big rewards. That’s the Lidl Graduate Management Development Programme.

Ours is a no-nonsense, roll your sleeves up, kind of scheme. Starting as a Customer Assistant in one of our 640 stores, you’ll be running a store by the end of your first six months.  Then it’s on to a  warehouse where you’ll start as a warehouse operative and learn all you need to be a Team Manager six months later., Now you know how we operate, it’s time to specialise – whether that’s in a regional or head office – building and applying your knowledge. And if you’ve put enough in, by the end of it you’ll be a manager in a field you’ve shone at.

It’s a path that takes grit, a great work ethic, a desire to learn and a perfectionist streak. That’s why we expect all our grads to have a 2.1 (or 2.2 plus a postgraduate qualification), impressive people skills and the flexibility to be based within an hour of a Lidl regional warehouse of your choice (so you’ll need a driving license too).

In return, our training and support is second-to-none. The market-leading salary, mobile phone and brand new Audi A4 are nice to have too.
