Programme management is a core Mace discipline and typical of our larger commissions in sectors like aviation, infrastructure and energy sectors, and of course it was central to the delivery of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, providing assurance that the main contractors on the park were performing as expected.

This role is focused on supporting one of Mace’s key clients in the Nuclear Energy sector. Mace are currently working with this client to deliver one of the UK’s largest Construction Projects, located in the South West of England.

The role

Mace provide a wide range of services to our client to support them in the delivery of this major Project across all aspects. This ranges from supporting them with technical expertise orientated around Construction Management, through to helping engage and support the local community through the Project. The roles for Graduates in this role will be working in the client’s Project Services team providing support and co-ordination across Innovation, Business and Culture Change, Information and Document Management, IT Operations, Central Training and other key functions involved in managing a complex, large scale construction Project.

It will also be an opportunity to develop core business management skills including Project Management, Information Management, Business Change, and IT Operations, Planning, Budget and cost management and Risk Management.

This role will provide a foundation for a career in Construction Project Management as well wider Business Management. Graduates in this role will receive support and guidance from local Mace colleagues and fully participate in the Mace Graduate Development Programme building a peer network across the company. There will also be the unique opportunity to learn and develop with the support of our client, one of the world’s leading energy companies.


This role will be based in the South West of England, working in Bristol and Bridgwater, Somerset

Minimum Requirements

  • A minimum 2.1 undergraduate degree (expected or obtained), for this role there is not a specific degree subject that is required.
  • 240 UCAS points and Grade C in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent qualifications)
  • Evidence of significant extra-curricular activities that demonstrate drive and excellent interpersonal skills
  • A passion for a career in construction and project management and a wider interest in business management
  • Commitment to be based in the South West of England

Professional qualification routes

Graduates working in this role will be supported in working towards a professional qualification or membership of a professional body that fits their career aspirations. This can include the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or certification from the Association of Project Managers (APM)
