"The company is not very political which is good. The graduate scheme provides many networking opportunities and breakfast with the board allows anyone to discuss and understand issues at all levels. I do think socialising should be encouraged more within and between sectors. I also think Mace should encourage more activities outside of the office for team building and networking that extends further than very formal events and high management. However, all Mace employees are friendly, supportive and helpful which makes it a very good working environment. No pressure to do long hours or work through lunch which is good."

"The office culture is very good. I only ever work a noticeable amount of overtime when there is a large deadline. Even at these times I feel no pressure to do so. In any other circumstances I am encouraged to stick to my hours. There is a social committee within my sector which is really fantastic and we do a range of activities from pub quizzes to softball. A proportion of my colleagues spend a large amount of their time seconded to other offices, I believe this can sometimes be quite isolated."

"Knowledge sharing is essential within any company and Mace are strong at this. Discussing ideas with the vast amount of job roles advances my knowledge base."

"The office has quite a corporate feel, and lots of people love this but personally I prefer a small office environment. Teamwork though, is excellent, there are always plenty of experienced colleagues happy to help with queries, etc. Social events are advertised regularly, with a variety of activities available."

"There is quite a corporate culture in head office, but we have good working hours and a great social scene. You must be willing to get involved and get to know people outside of work and develop relationships."

"There are always team events or social occasions happening, be they within your project teams, your sector, the graduate community or the business as a whole."

"On site offices can be very informal and relaxed, with a good culture and atmosphere. Head office is more formal. Graduates get some good access to board members who take a keen interest in the programme. Very good socialising with quite a few nights out and activities planned."

"Mace has a very positive and relaxed culture. I am comfortable to speak to people at various levels from my line manager to my sector Director. There are also Breakfast with the Board sessions so we can informally meet the CEO and other Board members. After hours there are lots of activities including sports, ghost walks, pub quizzes."
