Transformation Project Graduate (Construction, Projects & Business Change)

Join us as a Stansted Transformation Project Graduate and be part of the team that deliver and operationalise the £500M investment programme currently taking place at Stansted Airport, which will see the development of a purpose-built arrivals facility and substantial changes to the International departures lounge, ensuring we remain one of the leading global airports and cement ourselves as one of the largest Airports in the South East.

The Programme

As a Stansted Transformation Project Graduate, you will complete your programme either within our Construction Delivery or Business Change team. Throughout the two-year programme, you’ll rotate across key placements within your chosen area, developing your experience in managing a large change project and building your skills in effective stakeholder management.

Construction Delivery

In Construction Delivery, you will work closely with our construction and engineering partners to develop the scheme and project manage elements of the wider transformation programme. You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced project managers to support the full lifecycle of a project and develop your understanding our asset base and the customer journey, working your way towards taking on responsibility for a number of live capital delivery projects.

You will complete key placements within the following areas:

  • Project Delivery
  • Construction Management and SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality)
  • Programme Management Office (PMO)

Business Change

In Business Change, you will support on the development of our business requirements to deliver an improved customer experience, enhanced facilities and better operational performance. It will involve stakeholder management, communicating the programme to all interested parties, whether that be colleagues, customers, service partners or the local community. It will also involve bringing our enhanced and expanded terminal buildings into operational readiness by scenario testing for a range of operational issues, and supporting the familiarisation of our workforce with the new area they will work in, in preparation for opening.

You will complete key placements within the following areas:

  • Planning, Process and Communications
  • Business Change - Terminal, Airfield and Baggage
  • Building airport operational strategy
  • Developing future proof asset management strategy
  • Developing operating models
  • Operational Readiness, Activation and Transition
