Airport Management Graduate Programme – East Midlands

Based at East Midlands Airport 

Join us as an Airport Management Graduate and be part of the team that keep a busy and fast-moving airport ticking over smoothly. Completing placements in our Operational, Commercial and Assets teams, you’ll develop the knowledge, skills and experience to be a future leader of one of our terminal or operations teams.

The Company:

The Programme:

Throughout the two-year programme, you’ll rotate across three key 6-month placements within the following teams as well as have the opportunity to put your people management skills to the test:

Operations

A placement in Operations could see you working in our Customer Services, Security, Car Parks or Airfield teams, helping to ensure our customers experience a seamless, enjoyable and safe travel experience 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. 

Commercial

A placement in Commercial could involve working in our Retail, Commercial Car Parks, Corporate Development or Marketing teams. It’s all about spotting opportunities to maximise revenue, yield management and building strong relationships with our service partners and airlines. 

Assets

A placement in Assets could see you working as part of our Asset Management and Engineering teams, ensuring our portfolio is maintained and developed. You’ll gain insight into the day-to-day management of our assets and develop the business cases that support their investment.

People Management

You’ll also spend 6-9 months developing your leadership capability in a people management role within one of our operational teams. You’ll develop invaluable experience of people and performance management issues, in preparation for your substantive role.

During the programme, there will also be opportunities to experience life at another MAG Airport by completing a placement or project at an alternative location.

You:

We are not looking for a specific degree background, although you’ll need to bring with you a minimum of a 2:1 and some business understanding and well developed numerical skills would be useful.

You’ll need to be customer focussed and able to manage multiple competing demands and priorities, as well as have strong analytical skills and the ability to think creatively to solve business problems.

We’re also looking for confident communicators with an ability to build effective working relationships across the many business areas you will work with, and you will have the potential to lead, engage and inspire large teams of people.

This role will close once we have received sufficient applications. Please note, you can only apply for one Graduate programme with MAG. It's important that you've achieved or are on course for a 2:1, as well as have the right to work in the UK as unfortunately we're unable to support visas. You'll also have to be prepared to work at other UK airports in the group, as well as internationally too.
