Commercial Graduate Programme - Stansted
Join us as a Commercial Graduate and be part of the team that build strong relationships with our service partners and airlines, spot opportunities to maximise revenue, implement effective yield management strategies and develop the MAG brand. Completing placements across the Commercial team at Stansted Airport, you will develop the knowledge, skills and experience to take on a Commercial, Marketing or Aviation Account Manager role at the end of your programme.

Throughout the two-year programme, you will complete a number of different placements to really understand the different ways in which the Commercial team supports our business. You could complete placements in the following teams;
This placement is all about delivering a first-class retail experience to our passengers, and a high quality customer experience to our retail partners. You'll measure and monitor performance and gain an understanding of the importance of good working relationships with store managers. You’ll also take on responsibility for account management, gaining expertise in negotiating and managing complex contracts, resolving issues, and spotting opportunities to maximise our own revenue.
In Marketing, you’ll support the team as they boost the performance of specific routes and airlines – you’ll help deliver a blend of strategic and tactical sales and marketing plans, and shape Stansted Airport’s brand identity through external communications via physical and digital channels.
The Aviation Development team provides key account management to our Airlines, and develops the business cases and route pitches for prospective airlines in order to structure growth in air traffic at our airports. You will provide insight to senior management on the aviation market to develop airline engagement, conducting analysis and market research to build presentations.
Commercial Car Parks
Within our Commercial Car Parks team you will deliver in-depth analyses on pricing decisions and their effects on the business, while developing robust and accurate tools that focus on managing transactional data and supporting commercial decisions. You’ll also help us discover new technology that enhances customer experience, while managing key customer accounts and building and nurturing strong relationships with other key airport partners.
During the programme you will also get the opportunity to experience our operation first hand by completing a series of ‘back to the floor’ experiences where you will be able to build on your understanding of how the business works and how Commercial fits into the picture.
To join us as a Commercial Graduate you’ll need to bring with you a minimum of a 2:1 in a related subject such as Business, Marketing or Economics, or in a discipline with a strong numeric background. Some commercial experience would also be advantageous.
You’ll need to be a confident communicator with the ability to build strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders both inside and outside of MAG. Analytical skills are important too, and you will need to be comfortable working with numerical data to develop insight and drive decision making. We are also looking for innovative thinkers who are naturally inquisitive and proactively spot opportunities.
This role will close once we have received sufficient applications. Please note, you can only apply for one Graduate programme with MAG. It's important that you've achieved or are on course for a 2:1, as well as have the right to work in the UK as unfortunately we're unable to support visas. You'll also have to be prepared to work at other UK airports in the group, as well as internationally too.
