Productivity Specialist

We are currently seeking new entry level candidates to expand our team of Productivity Specialists.  Specialising in the healthcare sector, there are great opportunities for motivated and enthusiastic candidates.

We are looking for exceptional, motivated and hard-working people who are prepared to give it their all. In return we offer fantastic training and development opportunities as well as promotional opportunities to be fast tracked to leadership roles for individuals who embrace our world.  Although we will fully train and equip you with the tools and techniques required to do the job, you will need to bring with you previous experience demonstrating a commitment to your professional goals. Experience in productivity or consulting, while desirable, is by no means mandatory.

Our most successful specialists, who have gone on to lead our projects, have come from a wide variety of backgrounds and experience although they have two things in common – bags of common sense, and excellent communication skills demonstrated through their passion and ability to express opinions. In order to have credibility with our clients, candidates will need to have had substantial customer/client facing experience which has equipped them with the gravitas and interpersonal skills to relate to all levels of staff and an understanding of how organisations work and how people work within organisations. It is essential that candidates can demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of the role and current challenges facing UK and Irish public sector organisations.

Other requirements are a UK driving licence, fluent English, unrestricted permission to work in the UK and a willingness to undergo a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check.

To be successful in the role candidates will:

  • Have previous work experience in an analytical, project or supervisory role
  • Have had at least one appointment in a customer-negotiating environment
  • Be able to demonstrate some knowledge and understanding of the NHS
  • Have experience of communicating with all levels within an organisation
  • Be able to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Be able to demonstrate a logical and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Be able to demonstrate how results have been achieved both as part of a team & working alone
  • Understand the need to work to tight timescales adhering to tried and tested processes
  • Be highly numerate with advanced Excel skills
  • Have a full UK driving licence

If you can tick all these boxes, are highly motivated, get so involved in work you forget what time it is and enjoy working away Monday to Friday, we want to hear from you.

Joining our teams working on client premises, your initial role will be to help us to find what is causing our client to be operationally less effective than they could be, based on the resources they are using. Using our bespoke tools and techniques and your own tactical flair, you will help us to identify and quantify specific areas of process, working practices and culture which are not as effective as they should be. You will then proceed to be part of a team which will help to solve the problems we have identified in the client’s operation, and support them to implement the necessary change.

As a Productivity Specialist we will teach you the methodologies you need to bring about productivity and performance improvements in clients service operations. When we are designing new ways of working with our clients we have to demonstrate the benefits of bringing about the changes. Those benefits include improved patient care both in quality and service whilst eliminating unnecessary costs. These improvements usually equate to 15-20% and so constitute significant step change within our clients’ operations and so the feeling of personal reward and job satisfaction is unrivalled.

All of our work is carried out on client premises so our project teams stay at a local hotel during the week, returning home at weekends.

Our starting salary is variable dependent on experience. Entry level Productivity Specialists can expect to earn anywhere between £27,430 and £33,280 per year, rising to over £70k per annum for our Project Managers.
