"Management interacts very well with employees within M&G. We have appraisal meetings at the end of every rotation on the graduate scheme and valuable feedback is provided throughout. My managers have always been very supportive and available, have always provided excellent tips and feedback, and have been truly good mentors."

"You get formal feedback every rotation as a graduate and I've tended to organise a few catch-ups with my manager throughout each rotation. Everyone is approachable and happy to chat, though sometimes it's difficult to get constructive criticism."

"Managers are largely accessible, though the mentor system could be improved."

"My managers are excellent and constantly available. I can always talk to anyone all the way up to my head of department, who reports straight to the CTO. They don't really focus on mentoring but make a good effort with personal development and training. They have successfully pushed for me to get amazing opportunities that I might otherwise have been passed over for. Praise and recognition is very good, but unstructured."

"All managers are very well trained and most have regular catch-ups."

"Managers are very accessible, largely due to the flat hierarchy of the company."

"I have a mentor who I meet with regularly to get feedback and work out career progression. I also meet regularly with my managers and, at the end of each rotation, meet with HR to get feedback. Performance feedback (and this seems to be fairly universal in the graduate scheme) does seem to focus more on positives than actual advice for growth."
Graduate, London
"Some senior management is very good and engaged. Others Less so."
Graduate, London
"Most managers make a real effort to speak to new employees."
Graduate, London
"Very varied across the organisation. Very business unit specific. Generally good management, although some are perhaps not supported enough to know what they should be doing. My personal experience with managers has been excellent so far."
HR, Graduate, London
"Managers are very accessible and happy to help, given that some of them were also on the graduate scheme. Frequent feedback helps personal development."
Graduate, London
"Managers are very open and available to graduates, which is very much appreciated. They bring you along to various meetings that you otherwise would not have access to and are generally there for any issues or questions you may have."
Graduate, London
"Managers are always available to help and are able to assist with all sorts of problems. They inform us of any changes to the team/organisation as and when they become aware of it."
Finance, Graduate, London
"Send an email to anyone in the firm (including CEO) and they will reply and meet with you."

"M&G has a very flat hierarchy making anyone approachable."
Entry level, London
"Managers are exceptionally busy, but they will make time for you. There is a real culture of nurturing talent."
Entry level, London
"Accessible and good mentors. With the company non-hierarchical, managers aren't always focusing on what's going on above them and have time for new graduates."
Graduate, London
"Managers are generally very accessible. Performance feedback varies in terms of quality, though possibly because some people don't like to give any negative feedback. Internal communication can be poor sometimes and annoy a lot of people."
Graduate, London
"Managers are easy to talk to, they provide continuous feedback and are very supportive when it comes to study leave for exams."
Graduate, London
"As soon as you join you meet all of the Senior Management Team and get given an introduction of their specific business units they are very approachable and easy to talk to. As a graduate you also get a Personal Development Manager who acts as a mentor and helps you along the graduate scheme."
