"A drive towards going paperless. Recycling initiatives."
First year trainee, Cambridge
"We've just installed dual screens across the office to reduce printing needs."
First year trainee, Cambridge
"Many of our teams are now predominantly, if not entirely, paperless and much of our work is done electronically in order to reduce paper usage. Moreover, the firm encourages the 'Bike to Work' initiative and offers employees the option to participate in this via salary sacrifice."
Second year trainee, Norwich
"I've not heard very much about this in the office. We are mainly e-filing (though not so much in Norwich), so we are trying to minimise paper."
Second year trainee, Cambridge

2015

"The firm is very committed to environmental concerns. All employees are encouraged to consider whether printing is necessary and the online filing system is excellent."
First year trainee, Norwich
"There are recycling bins in all the kitchens."
Second year trainee, Cambridge
"Most teams are paperless and work from electronic files. This saves on the amount of paper and power used to print. Heavily encouraged to switch computers off at night and the lights are automatic at night/early morning and weekends."
Second year trainee, Norwich

2014

"The firm has moved to electronic filing in many teams."
First year trainee, Cambridge
"Lots of departments are 'paperless' and all documents are stored online."
First year trainee, Birmingham
"The firm e-files where it can and takes measures to help the environment such as duplex printing and recycling."
First year trainee, Manchester
"I sit in a paper-free Real Estate seat (ambitious) and staff are heavily encouraged to use less electricity on lights/computers at night, etc."
First year trainee, Norwich

2013

"Drive to go paperless!"
Second year trainee, Cambridge
"Recycling, and less rubbish bins."
First year trainee, Cambridge
"This has definitely improved following the move to the new office, we now have a number of different recycling bins for different types of material. There is probably still too much printing and I think the introduction of dual monitor screens would help. As is unfortunately common in most offices, the lights are inexplicably on all day, even in the middle of summer when there is more than enough natural light."
Second year trainee, Cambridge
"Recycling facilities are provided, but some teams are better than others at using them."
Second year trainee, Birmingham
"Intentions to go paperless and in the process of doing so."
First year trainee, Cambridge
