Satisfaction with Work

"As a graduate you are given a good level of responsibility from day one. In retail agency, I was given properties to go out into the market and attempt to let or sell. This allowed freedom and opportunities to develop new skills. In valuation, after a few attempts and some red pen in a trial and error approach, you are let loose on full valuations. These are checked and sent out."

"Sometimes I have to deal with very mundane tasks but I recognise this is part of the graduate process. I also get to deal with some very advanced tasks that challenge me."
Capital Markets, Graduate, London
"Very satisfied. There is no additional staff member between myself and the partners that I work for. This means I get to do the work that senior surveyors and associates would be doing and follow projects all the way through, not just basic grad work."

"Grads at Monties are given a huge amount of responsibility. We work with, and learn directly from, the partners. From day one we benefit from client exposure as we are involved in all aspects of a project from start to finish."

"I have been given a high level of responsibility working alongside partners on valuations, viability and land agency work. I have recently moved teams into regeneration, allowing me to gain experience in the different areas required for the assessment of professional competence."
Graduate, London
"Very satisfied. I would like to get more work from across the department to vary my experience, as long as it can be managed properly. A lot of this is down to me being proactive."

London
"I get a high level of responsibility and exposure to major instructions and clients. I work in Shopping Centre management where we manage four shopping centres around the country for institutional clients. I deal with all things from rent collection, service charges to compensation claims. It may not be the most glamorous work but it is fantastic for the APC."
London
"My workload is heavy but manageable. It is also very varied and interesting."
London
"My responsibilities include report writing, market research and property inspections."
London
"Working directly with a partner I have been exposed to almost every sector of the property industry and have been involved with investments, valuations, developments and providing advice to landlords and tenants. My day-to-day role in each of these areas has varied from researching information and carrying out detailed due diligence, to attending meetings and speaking directly with clients."
London
"I am involved with investment, letting and some development. I have a variety of different jobs to do which gives me a wide knowledge."
Edinburgh
"I have been given an increasing amount of responsibility and now work autonomously with peer review."
