Motability Operations is a highly successful, competitive company with strong values and a high performance culture. The Graduate Scheme offered by Motability Operations is truly unique in terms of support, development and opportunity and as a rotational scheme; Graduates are given the chance to learn new skills in different roles across both the Bristol and London sites.

The recruitment process for the Motability Operations Graduate scheme was extremely impressive with a lot of care taken to select candidates with both the right cultural fit and experience. After finding out I had a place on the scheme I was invited to a welcome day where myself and the other two graduates met the previous intake of graduates and had the opportunity to ask questions and find out more about the company and their experience on the scheme. Shortly after the welcome day we were told where we were going to be located and what our first role would be. Before launching into my first role, myself and the other two graduates spent our first month split between Bristol and London where we learnt about many different areas of the business and got the opportunity to visit the Charity and some dealers, We also had some specific skill based training such as presentation skills. It was clear from the whole experience that Motability Operations really invest in their staff and in their training and once again I was really impressed.

My first placement was in Bristol on companywide project where I was tasked with running ‘familiarisation’ sessions to introduce the business to a new IT system, which would transform the way in which we interacted with both internal and external customers. My placement on this project was excellent, providing me with the right level of challenge and support in order to learn and progress and I also had the opportunity of meeting lots of people around the business.

During your placement at Motability operations you are always supported, each graduate is given a ‘buddy’ from the previous graduate intake, a mentor and a sponsor. It’s great to have people that you can go to for advice and guidance as it really helps with getting the most out of the scheme and helping to solve any challenges you may face.

I really enjoy working at Motability Operations for a number of reasons but certainly the people and the culture plays a large part of what makes the company a great place to work. It’s good to also be part of a company of this size as the company is large enough to give you plenty of opportunities for development and progression but small enough for you to be able to get involved in some really exciting projects.
