"At this stage I am happy with my pay. The trainee and new qualifier salary is in line with other similar firms. It is, however, very difficult to hit bonuses in an advisory team. I think this should be reviewed."
Second year trainee, London
"The pay is competitive when you compare the firm to its peers. However, it is becoming much lower than competitors in the City as a whole and this may need to change to continue attracting top talent. Trainees do not receive bonuses."
First year trainee, London
"Trainees don't get bonuses, even if they bring in a client."
First year trainee, London
"Trainee pay is average (which is still good). Trainees do not receive bonuses, however, and the bonus scheme is not incentivising."
First year trainee, London
"Lower than other City firms carrying out similar work with similar hours."
First year trainee, London
"Trainees aren't currently eligible for bonuses but, broadly speaking, the remuneration is in line with the market."
Second year trainee, London
"Hard to complain but compared to other similar firms it is off-pace, despite a recent rise."

"Trainees don't get bonuses. I think bonuses are something that should be considered."
Second year trainee, London
"I believe that trainees should get bonuses as we work hard."
First year trainee, London
"The salary is equal to the general market rate, so I can't complain about how much I am paid. I don't really think about bonuses as I don't think they are very large compared to other places."
Second year trainee, London
"The salary is competitive."
First year trainee, Sheffield
"Following a recent pay review, pay has just risen which is great. I cannot comment on the bonus scheme as I have not experienced it firsthand yet, being a trainee."
Second year trainee, London

"The trainee salary is fair and in line with other firms of a similar size. The pay post-qualification is more of a concern and the bonus system is not transparent. The bonus system has been changed recently and some associates feel they have missed out as a result. As a trainee, we will not see a bonus for a long time as the current system only applies to three yr PQE and above."
First year trainee, London
"Trainees don't get bonuses, but I am satisfied with the standard trainee salary that I receive. I have heard grumblings from those higher up."
First year trainee, London
"Trainees are on a good salary, as are NQs. There is no trainee bonus, although there are three trainee prizes each year for outstanding work."
Second year trainee, London
"Pay is good for a regional office. The bonus scheme has changed recently so we'll wait and see!"
Second year trainee, Sheffield
"I think that trainees earn a good salary and it is in line with the market standard. However, salaries have never increased with inflation."
First year trainee, London
"A trainee bonus may be used to reward those who have been particularly busy, or have gone beyond their role in some way."
First year trainee, London
