I’m originally from Spain. Now I’m here in York, working at the Nestlé Centre of Excellence for Chocolate, Sugar Confectionery and Biscuits as an Engineer. I’ve been here a year and the opportunities and development I’ve had have already been brilliant!

Day-to-day, that involves working in innovative technologies, helping to deliver new, tastier and healthier products all over the world. I’m involved in projects for Chile, Czech Republic and Mexico at the moment – and, soon, I’ll be starting a new one for Brazil.

I’ve always wanted to work in FMCG – and the technology and processes within the top-ranked FMCG company in the world are incredible, as you can imagine. So, I applied online, followed the application process and was lucky enough to be offered a post!

Hands-on experience, exciting projects, contributing to the development of innovative technologies – these are the things that excite me about the role. And I get to see and experience the results, which is amazing.

I developed a new piece of equipment for Chile to enable us to produce a new innovative product – that’s been my best experience to date. I finished the technical drawings, sent them to Manufacturing (thinking my job was done) and was then told I was going to Chile to commission it!
