Nick started with the business in 2016 on the Finance Graduate Scheme based at Solihull. "Currently my role involves some interest analysis, a little bit of credit control and work on fixed assets too".

Nick is in the 2nd year of his 3 year scheme and as part of the programme is working towards his CIMA qualification, and chose the npower graduate scheme due to it's focus on learning and development.
"npower are really supportive when it comes to studying for CIMA, they allow 4 study days before an exam, plus the day of the exam itself. You also get the opportunity to choose the way you learn, this can be classroom based, live online or independent study".

In terms of challenges, Nick found it initially hard to coming onto the programme with no prior Finance experience "I struggled to use the finance IT systems that we used, also some of the basic accountancy terminology I struggled with to start off with, but everyone in the team is on hand to help out".

Nick enjoys being part of a large cohort of graduates in the business, "I have enjoyed being part of a whole cohort of graduates, it is good to be able socialise and share our experiences with each other".
