Graduate Programme - Operations Management
We are looking for 70 graduates across 10 schemes to join our fast paced, dynamic and innovative company. Ocado has been growing rapidly and through this we are giving real responsibility and autonomy to our graduates. Graduates will not just fill spaces, but we will give you genuine development opportunities to become future leaders and rise quickly through the company to help shape the future of Ocado.
What we want from our Operations Graduates
Can you manage relationships, personalities and schedules whilst still remaining calm under pressure? This graduate scheme demands a lot of you but what you get out of it both in the now and for the future returns 10 fold. Can you get the best out of 40 members of staff working for you whilst also pushing yourself?
The Operations Scheme
The Operations team are responsible for running our warehouses (which we call "Customer Fulfilment Centres" or "CFCs") where we take delivery, store, pick and dispatch over a million products a day to customers. The 24 month scheme is loosely split into 4 and sees you manage different teams in areas all over our new automated warehouses.
Potential Placements include:
The first part of this two year graduate development programme sees you immersed right into the heart of our operation, and rewards you with knowledge and experience of all CFC operations including: Inbound (product receipt, put-away and replenishment), Outbound (product picking, packing and dispatch to customers) and Operations Support (inventory control and issue management).
The second part of the programme builds on everything you have learnt and will enhance your leadership skills further by putting you in the driving seat of the operation through working directly with our Flow and Operations Managers to ensure the CFC runs efficiently and effectively.
