Offices & Dress

7.1 / 10

"The office is good, although it is under major refurbishment at the moment. We're based in High Holborn with all the key facilities (showers, changing rooms, lockers, canteen, nice meeting rooms etc). The dress code is smart (no need for a tie, though) with a more relaxed dress code in the summer."

"Alright. I can get general office and secretarial work done 24/7 but the IT systems need to be sorted out. There's a lot of chat about agile working but it hasn't been made available to me yet."

"Our dress code is relatively casual in comparison to other firms. We also have dress down summer."

"Great location. We are now moving to open-plan so it's hard to comment on the offices while we're in this period of transition."

"Currently moving to open-plan so there is big change at the moment. It's due to complete by mid-2017 so we shall see what the future holds. High Holborn is a great location and the office looks smart from the outside. The dress code is suits but no tie (unless you're seeing a client), casual Fridays and dress down in the summer months. Pretty relaxed overall."

"Kitchen facilities could be better. Would be nice to have some better tea bags! Dress code is quite informal compared to lots of other firms in that you aren't expected to wear a suit every day. We also have dress down Fridays for charity."

"The top floor conference space is quite nice. The majority of the offices are fine, though the carpets are getting a bit dated."

"Dress code is very relaxed - ties are banned and suits would be too if some partners had their way."

"We are based in a great location and have a nice office though it is looking a little worn in places!"

"The firm has very nice offices, the canteen is very good value for money. Client rooms are impressive. Location is very central, with Lincoln's Inn Fields very handy in the summer months. Dress down Friday means we have the opportunity to wear regular casual clothing."

"The firms' offices are great, the dress code is business casual, men do not wear ties and women do not have to wear suits unless they are meeting clients. The firm allows you to leave a bit of personality in your outfits so that it is not a uniform."

"The dress code is smart, but not at the expense of individuality and personality."

"Great location, good office space (two to an office). The dress code is business casual, (for men, suits without a tie... if you wear a tie for anything other than a client meeting, people will usually mock you). We also have dress down Fridays."

"Both the London and Reading offices are spacious, moderns and well-equipped. The dress code for men (in the Reading office) basically boils down to suit with no tie on Monday to Thursday and jeans and a t-shirt on Friday."
First year trainee, Reading
"There are break out areas on each floor with fridges, seats, vending machines, microwaves etc (and often sweets that people bring in for birthdays/holidays). All offices are glass fronted and almost all are backed by a full window, these are shared between two (trainees will sit with a supervising partner or associate - normally associate). The office is well located; five mins from the Tube and on several bus routes, surrounded by shops, cafes, takeaways and restaurants for lunch/dinner, there's a gym a couple of buildings down, a Starbucks on the ground floor and green spaces around the corner for summer time lunch breaks. We have dress down Fridays (smart casual, jeans allowed)."

"Lots of space... My office is huge and I have ample space outside my office to pace... Location on High Holborn is great - mid-city site offers easy access to West End and City. Snazzy building, but not too snazzy. Roof terrace is brilliant in summer. Dress code - can get away with most things but I tend to dress smarter than most. Friday is particularly relaxed (properly dress down)."

"Nice location, good facilities (great office showers etc.), nice open offices with lots of windows. The dress code is suits (ties for client meetings only) and dress down Fridays."
First year trainee, London
"Great offices in London and Reading. The dress code is smart but certainly not stuffy - ties for gents are optional."
