Join our ‘One of a kind’ graduate scheme as we expand our Project Management team to provide support and expertise in the execution of projects across the globe.   You could soon be using your project management expertise working with some of the world’s biggest oil production companies such as BP, ExxonMobil, Total and Shell.

Right from the start, our unique two-year Project Management Graduate Scheme will introduce you to the fascinating world of one of the most complex and innovative global industries.

You will be immersed in key project management processes using our specialist engineering products and methods. We will support and mentor you with an extensive training programme and there will be opportunities to gain accredited qualifications.  After you have completed the programme your first role will be as a Project Manager, ready to take up your place within one of our teams of experts in locations across the globe.

Your Training

Your two-year ‘One of a kind‘ career journey starts at Leeds which has a reputation within the business as being a centre of excellence in Project Management.  This will be followed by a short rotation to one of our UK production sites. From there, you will spend time working within Projects and other departments in Leeds to further develop your skills and knowledge.  You will then spend the next six months at one of our manufacturing sites in Brazil, Malaysia, or the USA. You will learn more about our processes, products and manufacturing methods from the ground up. The final stage of the programme brings you back to Leeds before being assigned responsibility for one of our global projects.  You will also follow a comprehensive training programme to compliment your experience in role.

In summary, the programme covers:

Stage 1:

An introduction to the business, Project Management, Project Services, other departments such as Quality and Tendering, an operational plant and the production lifecycle.

Stage 2:

Working alongside an experienced team member from the Projects or Planning team for approximately six months, as a Project Co-ordinator to co-ordinate tasks along with other departments to support the delivery of a project. 

Stage 3:

You will work for six months in one of our manufacturing plants overseas to support the delivery of one of our $multi million projects.

Stage 4:

You will return to Leeds and be assigned to a project to oversee a specific scope of work.  This will involve working with internal and external customers, managing through to project launch.  You will also have responsibility for the project budget and risk management.

Throughout the programme you will be supported by an experienced mentor and will gain a recognised Project Management qualification.

Your Entry Requirements

You must be a team player with drive, determination, energy and a clear focus on results.  You will also need the following:

  • A minimum 2:2 Degree in a Business-linked subject or Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
  • Be globally mobile
  • The desire to take on the opportunity to deliver $multi-million projects in a fast-paced, dynamic business
  • The right to work in the UK
