Graduate IT Programme
What does the programme involve?
The scheme is an exciting opportunity for graduates to gain experience across the IT function of Opus Energy taking in rotations in teams within Application Development and IT Service Management.
Our Application Development team plays a key role in the day to day success of Opus Energy. They are responsible for the development and testing of our internal applications and external portals that we provide to our customers.
When working within IT Service Management, you’ll play an important part in providing the infrastructure that hosts our system and day to day IT processes. This area is vital in supporting the day to day IT requirements of all Opus Energy employees.
How long does the programme last?
The programme lasts two years and consists of a series of three to six month long rotations within the various areas of the IT function of Opus Energy, mentioned above. These rotations will be designed to afford the graduate with vital exposure to a key area of our innovative and growing business
What happens at the end of the programme?
By the end of the programme you’ll understand your key strengths and see where your skills fit within the IT function, so we’ll be able to identify an appropriate specialism with you. After the two years are up you’ll continue to develop your skills and experience, specialising within one of the three functions.
What are the entry requirements?
A 2:1 degree in an IT related subject.
What are the benefits?
A salary of £23,000 - £25,000, depending on experience, plus a relocation payment of £1,000 and a guaranteed salary increase of £1,000 at the end of years 1 and 2. Our employees also receive a bonus of up to 10% of their salary, plus benefits such as private health insurance and a pension.
