"Graduate starters get a two-week training course with an opportunity to work with a real client in the second week. It was a thorough course and prepared me well for starting in the main office."
Graduate, London
"Grad training is great and lasts for two weeks at the start of the programme. It's a great way to start forming your internal network and to get to know all of the other grads. Training after that is less structured than at bigger firms, which has pros and cons. The pros are that you can tailor it to what interests you, what you want to develop, and learn at your own pace. The cons are that you sometimes have to plan far in advance for training you want to attend, which can be difficult in consulting."
Strategy, Graduate, London
"The 50 new grads got taken away for two really intense weeks, which were so helpful and simultaneously fun! They involved a lot of classroom learning and ended with a real client project for a charity done pro bono. There were so many dinners, parties and events where we got to socialise with other grads and also senior employees, making it a really enjoyable start to our careers. I'm still very thankful for this opportunity. I'm currently studying for my PRINCE2 qualification. PA sponsors many types of training as long as you can explain how it will benefit your performance."
Graduate, London
"PA has its own training centre with excellent courses on offer. You can choose which training to attend and when, which ensures training is always relevant to the work you do. Trainers are experienced and engaging and create an excellent learning environment. Some of my fondest memories since joining PA are from the training courses because of the opportunity to learn something new in a safe space with great colleagues."
Graduate, London
"There is a lot of training available, particularly in the tech sector. I did a one-week software engineering course, which was very good, and I have other sessions in the pipeline."
Graduate, London
"There could be more available. Some are oversubscribed and not expansive in terms of content. I have been in a couple of strategy and Excel workshops that were useful."

"The onboarding training was excellent and any courses I have been on have been very good indeed. However, at a graduate level, I would expect far more training and most courses are only available to higher ranks."
Graduate, London
"Before we went into head office, we had a two-week induction programme that was very useful to help us understand the firm and the role of an analyst."
Graduate, London
"There was a great two weeks of grad training that make you feel prepared for the job. It's good fun and a great chance to meet other grads as well as being a brilliant way to ease you into your new role."
Graduate, London
"Some training sessions can be really useful but there have been others that felt unnecessary. The company primarily uses its own consultants to drive the training, which makes it far more relevant to the workplace (and is also a good way to meet new people in the company). There is some scope to do training to gain recognised qualifications at PA, but maybe not as many as at other mainstream consultancies."
Graduate, London
"Training is relevant, useful and encouraged. A generous number of days are allocated to training annually."
Graduate, London
"PA holds some great internal training programmes for all levels of staff. These cover core consulting skills, professional expertise and business development. There are also options to get appropriate certification and professional qualifications."
Graduate, London
"There are two weeks of residential training in Cambridge and Surrey. The training is of exceptional quality and I get the opportunity to work on a live client case."
Graduate, London
"The upfront training for graduates is fantastic – you get at least two weeks of intensive training about the company and what they expect of you. After this, online training is limited. However, you have the flexibility to develop yourself by signing up to workshops that are run frequently on different things."

"There is an excellent standard of training here."
Entry level, Leicester
"Through the training programme here I have developed my presentation skills, learnt how to interact assertively in the workplace and practised facilitating workshops. The main skill I've picked up is how to work with a variety of people in an intense and very focused environment."
Graduate, Cambridge/Melbourn
"I would say that the training could be more up-to-date and relevant, but for many roles the training offered will be great."
