Exchange & Sportsbook Trading
The Exchange & Sportsbook Trading team is at the core of the Paddy Power Betfair offering. This department takes on the vast responsibility of setting all of the odds available on the Sportsbooks, for sporting and racing events, as well as TV and politics. This involves calculating the probability of the possible outcomes of each event, ahead of the event and as it unfolds. The team also works with various functions across the Group, striving to deliver industry leading, enjoyable betting experiences for our customers.
The function is split into three verticals (Racing, Football and Sports): an analytics and modelling team, an operations team and a trading product team. We strive for excellence in every aspect of the operation and look for people who are numerate, smart and ambitious to take on leadership roles within the function.
In Product Management you are at the centre of one of the industry’s most innovative and fastest growing Sports & eGaming Betting businesses. The betting industry as a whole is ultra-competitive, ever changing and innovative, and that’s what we need from our graduates. We are looking for passionate, enthusiastic, intellectual and curious graduates with excellent interpersonal skills to join our team to help us dominate the industry.
Here, you would be responsible for ensuring the business is focusing its significant tech resources on the right products at the right time. You will get the opportunity to work with every area of the business on complex and expansive projects, from Traders with over 10 years’ experience in the industry to highly skilled developers based overseas. Above all, it will be up to you to deliver what the consumer wants and desires in a manner that will make us stand out amongst ort competitors.

In fact, our Gaming team is a multi-award winning, industry-leading, frontier-pushing, volcanic expression of the Paddy Power Betfair vision: giving customers a fun, fair, gaming experience, wherever they are and whenever they want.
In Gaming, we oversee the rapid acceleration of Paddy Power Betfair’s new business development – creating innovative games, and bringing some of our current products like Casino, Bingo and Poker to new places, new customers, and new formats.
The PPB UK & Ireland Commercial team is responsible for the overall UK & Ireland online revenue for the Betfair and Paddy Power brands, and ensuring that the proposition for each brand is delivered consistently and effectively across all touch points. The team works closely with multiple stakeholders across the business, defining what products to build, what promotions to run, what to communicate to our customers and the optimal way of presenting it to them. This requires maintaining excellent working relationships across the organisation.
We are responsible for monitoring and reacting to commercial performance to ensure we’re hitting targets, and defining go to market plans and strategies for key sporting events such as the Cheltenham festival and the FIFA World Cup. The commercial team is regarded as a central function of the organisation which steers other areas of the business on what we should be focusing on both in the short-term and longer-term to deliver our wider commercial objectives.
We’re the P&L owners of the international B2C businesses, defining customer propositions and strategy for each unique market, as well as being responsible for all customer facing content for our regional sites and products. Our remit covers each of our global markets, with the exception of the USA, Australia and the UK&I. A cosmopolitan, fast-growing and fast-paced area of the business. There can be few businesses where there’s such a huge potential for growth. Yet despite the scale and scope of our operations, we foster a start-up culture, where ideas are heard and actions are taken quickly.
Paddy Power & Betfair Brand
We make sure our Paddy Power and Betfair brands are going from strength to strength. One day we might be developing campaigns for big sporting events such as the World Cup and Cheltenham Festival. On another, we could be launching a marketing campaign to bring new products to millions of customers.
From sponsorship deals with some of the world’s biggest football clubs, a PR team famed for headline-catching stunts and a Twitter account that’s been recognised as the most influential in the FTSE 100, Brand is an incredibly important area of the business.
Premium, Exchange Business and Pricing
Premium customers are a unique customer cohort to the Befair business. As such they require a differentiated type of account management, this would include business development discussions, efficiency reviews of their trading and sometimes technical assistance. Alongside engaging with our customers, we also manage our third party developers who build upon the Betfair API to create additional functionality and user interfaces for all Betfair customers. The team is responsible for all those relationships and the performance of the revenue from this customer cohort. One lever that is used by and managed within the team is pricing on the Exchange. Transactional costs on the Exchange are key for Premium customers and between the pricing and account management team we look to optimize our mechanisms for customers as to maximise value for them and to improve the Exchange ecosystem for all customers.
The Paddy Power Retail team is responsible for all revenue, product development, marketing, customer interactions and shop staff across more than 600 Paddy Power shops in the UK and Ireland.
We have market leading propositions, some of the highest growth products within the company and perform at a premium compared to our customers. The team continues to constantly work and launch new propositions and customer benefits, improve the customer experience and to grow our market share.
We have a very dynamic team who is working closely with other teams across the business such as the online team to build multi-channel propositions, technology team for new products, the group marketing team for marketing campaigns.
Strategy & Optimisation
The Strategy and Optimisation team sits within the Technology function and provides strategic thinking around the future of technologies within our business. Assessing how we’re going to build new products and technology services, how they’ll fit into our overall architecture and what our roadmap for the future looks like is intense and rewarding all at once.

- A minimum of 450 points on your Leaving Certificate (or equivalent)
- A minimum of 260 UCAS Tariff points (or equivalent)
