Marketing Internship At Magazine and Publishing House

About the host organisation 

The magazine serves as a crossover product for the exchange of international perspectives focusing on India. Modelled on collectibles and journals that have high shelf value and production quality, it seeks for new avenues of expression and discourse through carefully curated expert content that range from photo essays to light-hearted comic strips. As a publishing house, the organisation publishes magazines, sells merchandise and hosts many offline collaborations in the form of events such as open mic nights, concept events and film screenings.

The organisation currently works with 4 in-house employees and a roster of 30 freelance artists and writers and has been covered by Vogue and The Telegraph.

About the Internship 

As the marketing intern, you will be expected to help with the sales and distribution of the magazine and handle different operations, which could include managing events and launches, organising workshops and ensuring that collaborations take place smoothly. You will help the press ensure that all its verticals such as print publication, website, online presence, merchandising, PR and branding are efficiently integrated and run on-time.

What we are looking for

For this internship, we are looking applicants who demonstrate the following skills:

  • Self-motivated and proactive worker
  • Interest in the marketing sector
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in Adobe design software (preferable)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Additionally, the following is desirable though not essential:

  • Previous experience in marketing
