Industrial Placement

Your year

Our Industrial Placement Scheme is designed to provide you with valuable industry experience, professional skills and an opportunity to secure a future graduate role within the group. We believe in giving you immediate responsibility as well as outstanding support and a bespoke training plan designed with our Industrial Placement students in mind. We have placements available across multiple functions: Commercial, Finance, IT, Parts Logistics and HR.


The Commercial department is responsible for all of the commercial responsibilities within Peugeot, Citroën and DS Automobiles in the UK. This includes maximising vehicle and parts sales, increasing market share and loyalty, enhancing customer awareness and experience of Peugeot, Citroën and DS Automobiles products. Within the Commercial role, there are a number of departments that you could be placed; Sales and Distribution, Marketing, Network Development, Commercial Systems, Parts, Brand Advertising and Group Services.


The Finance department within the UK has the responsibility of providing financial information to not only meet the needs of internal clients but also external clients within the PSA Group. There are a number of departments within the Finance and Accounting division such as: treasury, tax, finance systems, financial analysis, accounting, sales accounts and accounts payable. The departments above have a lot of responsibility with issues such as controlling credit and invoice terms, financing the UK activities, controlling all the bank accounts for the Groups UK operations, maintaining the General Ledger system and consolidation of company budgets and forecasts.

Human Resources

The Human Resources function consists of a specialist central support department and line HR departments. Without the HR teams, day-to-day activity within the Group would be made extremely difficult. HR provides help and support for the Group on a matter of different levels; training and development, international mobility, conditions and terms of employees rights, carrying out the groups policies and procedures, pay and trainee recruitment.


The IT department designs, implements and maintains the software systems within the UK and provides services for the PSA Group worldwide. The main responsibility of the IT department is ensuring the technical infrastructure is running well within Pinley House. The IT department is made up of a number of separate teams. They are responsible for IT support for all Group companies including the aftersales warranty systems and implementing software programmes once they have been developed, tested and validated. Their role is also to schedule, track and reduce the errors of programmes, provide back-up for existing programmes and technical support.

Parts Logistics

PSA Parts Logistics consists of numerous different operations. Warehouse Operations is the heart of the operation at Tile Hill and where parts are received, sorted, selected, inspected and despatched to the customer. The Material Control Department coordinates with the warehouse and dealers to guarantee that the correct stock is help on-site to meet customer demands. The Engineering and Maintenance are responsible for monitoring and improving efficiency through systems, processes and the physical layout of the warehouse. The Quality Department conduct daily audits and checks of parts and packaging to ensure that the products are received and distributed whilst maintain a high level of quality. The Parts Distribution Department is responsible for communicating with our transport provider and they offer a help service facility for customers. The Management Project Animation team are responsible for continuous improvement and lean management on site.

  • Full EU Driving Licence is essential
  • Working towards or obtained a 2:1 degree in any discipline
  • 5 GCSE’s A-C including Maths and English or equivalent
