Conduct & Regulatory Affairs Internship

If you’re looking to work in a challenging and evolving environment, then look no further. Our Conduct & Regulatory Affairs internship will give you the tools and experience you need to build a bright future. All we ask is that you’re in penultimate year of your degree, and we’ll give you the support you need to kick-start your career.

As a bank, we operate in a changing environment. New regulation and legislation on a number of fronts is transforming how financial service organisations operate, as well as the duty of care to our customer.

Conduct & Regulatory Affairs (C&RA) exists to make sure the bank safeguards its customers, and fulfils its responsibilities to our regulators and shareholders. We set the strategy for how the bank manages its conduct and compliance agenda, and oversee its execution. We also manage interactions with key regulators, and act as an advisory voice to our businesses; providing trusted advice and challenge, supporting sustainable growth, protecting customers and standing up for fairness.

What can you expect?

Our Summer Internship is a 10 week programme held for penultimate year university students. You’ll have the chance to join one of our diverse and influential teams, which could include Financial Crime, Advisory, Regulatory Affairs, Compliance Services or Remediation & Complaints Oversight.

During your time with us you’ll observe colleagues in your area, understanding what they do and getting hands on in helping to deliver their tasks. We’ll assess your performance against live role objectives, giving you valuable practical working experience.

Who we’re looking for

We want you to bring your passion, because we know we can help shape it to so you can reach your full potential. If you’re hungry to learn, professional, confident, positive and enthusiastic, you have the right attitude to work in C&RA.

We’re a varied function, and you don’t need to be studying a particular subject to succeed here. However, degrees such as Economics, Law and PPE provide the most potent transferable skills and act as a good foundation.
