Nicola joined Redrow as a Rotational Graduate in September 2013. After completing the Graduate Scheme, she worked as a Technical Assistant before moving into our Commercial Department based in Colindale.

“After university, I knew I wanted to join a graduate scheme with a housebuilder. I was attracted to the Redrow scheme not only because they offered a rotational experience, but also because of the level of architectural detail in their homes. The rotational scheme enabled me to understand the fundamentals of the business, and also work out which role I was most interested and suited to.

After the Graduate Scheme, I became a Technical Assistant before moving to the Commercial Department as a Commercial Assistant in 2015. This role gave me a lot of responsibility and I have now progressed to an Assistant Quantity Surveyor. Tasks I regularly undertake include reviewing applications, preparing tender enquires, confirming payments, and meeting with subcontractors to review accounts and work programmes. I particularly enjoy seeing the finished product on our developments and learning from our Commercial Team as well as our design consultants.

As someone that has progressed through Redrow’s Rotational Graduate Scheme, I would say that the best thing about working for Redrow is definitely the range of development opportunities. Redrow are always encouraging their employees to progress further and are always promoting ways to learn and develop.”
