innogy IT Graduate Scheme
IT at innogy includes the management, provision, development and operation of standard and customised software as well as the required hardware and network infrastructure for the business that we support for our digitally enabled business. As a global player, our company employs staff across Germany, UK, Netherlands, Poland, Czech Republic and Hungary.
As an IT Graduate we’ll give you fantastic IT technical training to ensure that you’ve achieved a foundation level of IT capability before the end of your 18-month programme. This will include project management training, professional ITIL qualification, developer training for latest web and mobile technologies, and courses run by our in house experts around IT architecture & security. You may also have the opportunity to complete other professional courses such as TOGAF and CISSP if you choose certain areas as a specialism. On top of technical training, you will take part in a soft skills training programme including modules on stakeholder management, business communication, presentation and networking, whilst also benefitting from international meet ups with your IT cohort which will take place across Europe.
On top of your professional training and development, you’ll complete 4 to 5 placements over the course of your 18-month programme, each placement lasting 3 or 6 months long. You’ll also be given a senior mentor to support you with personal and professional development and help you define your career path at innogy.
You’ll choose your placements with the help of your mentor and your scheme sponsors. We have placement opportunities in all areas within our IT business from architecture to digital. You may find yourself supporting on a project to implement a new application within our commercial business, or create new IT processes across our smart metering business.
As part of your eighteen month programme you’ll also complete an international placement in Europe, as well as a placement outside of IT within our retail, grid or renewables business.
A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in an IT related subject OR a non IT related subject which has analytical modules associated (e.g. maths, geography, psychology etc.)”
