Santander Technology Graduate Programme – Software & Applications Development
When starting out in the world of code, it’s easy to pick up bad habits, which inevitably lead to broken, bug-ridden code. But on the Santander Technology Graduate Programme, you won’t learn a thing about cutting corners, as we’re all about teaching you what it takes to be the best. And what better place to start than at one of the world’s largest banks.
Writing quality code is about a number of things, not least taking pride in your work. On our 24-month programme spread over four six-month rotations, you’ll get to learn from some of the industry’s most skilled and proud software professionals, developing the skills and good habits that will set you apart as you progress your career.
What’s more, you’ll be contributing to live projects right from the start, as we create, build and implement engaging experiences for more than 102 million customers worldwide. And, as the creative force behind Santander’s systems and software development, it’s ultimately our job to make sure those experiences not only look and feel good, but also run smoothly, day in day out. So, only dedicated coders need apply.
What we’d like to see
We’re hoping you’ll have a degree (2:1 at least), either in Computer Science, Mathematics, Sciences or Economics, backed by a strong desire to learn and make a difference, then we’d be crazy not to consider you for a place on the scheme.
What you can look forward to
Your dedication to coding will be well matched by our commitment to developing your coding career. We’ll also welcome you to the team with a £500 bonus, opportunities to work on the latest tech across a rich variety of live projects, and regular ‘Meet Ups’ to catch up on the latest topical technologies. Plus, in addition to a generous pension scheme and private health insurance as standard, you can look forward to 26 days holiday (not to mention bank holidays), five paid ‘Selfie Days’ (four for personal development and one to support our community), an onsite gym and healthy discounts on gym memberships and retail.
