TPL Research Graduate - Health & Wellbeing

Placement summary

Tree of Knowledge is excited to be launching TOK Research this year, that will allow schools, colleges and business understand the overall mental health of their students and staff.  We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic graduate researcher to join our team and not only help coordinate the project in terms of the data and reporting to schools and business but also with making structural changes to the business as it takes on this exciting new challenge.  We are looking for someone with an interest in health and well-being and a love of data analysis!

Job description

Project Description

We will be utilising the Warwick Edinburgh Mental Well-being Scale to measure the well-being of staff and pupils across Scottish secondary schools. You will be responsible for collating and analysing responses, and creating reports to be delivered to schools.

Following the successful launch of TOK Research in September 2018, you will be tasked with maximising the potential of the project and incorporating as many one-off surveys as we can handle.

Finally, all reports throughout the year will be discussed at government level and hopefully rolled out across many more schools and businesses in year two.

Whilst this is an initial 12-month placement, the opportunities a great for extending the project well beyond this first year and managing a team of data analysts and marketing functions in the future.

Placement Objectives

You will deploy your recently acquired skills and knowledge to assist us with a key business project which will see you working with Scottish secondary schools to gather and collate data pertaining to staff and pupil wellbeing.

Role Description

You will be tasked with creating and delivering 4x termly surveys with each of the 20 or so secondary schools who will be making up the main workload in year one.

This will include communications with each school several times throughout the year, collating a termly report with psychologically based comments, producing the schools annual survey document and possibly reporting our finding back to senior management teams within each school.

We are also looking to develop a similar survey that would be appropriate for primary schools, another version that would be suitable for businesses, and trialing the difference between one-off surveys vs. annual 4 termly surveys.

You will be HND or Degree qualified in relevant psychology related subject.
