Training Contract (London)
We offer training contract opportunities in our London and Bristol offices open to law and non-law students and graduates. From our innovative Trainee Skills Academy to international and client secondment, we make sure our trainees can experience business and legal worlds from different angles.
Simmons & Simmons is a leading international law firm with fully integrated teams working throughout Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Our vision is to continue to be a leading global law firm through our sector focus, which is underpinned by our ambition to provide our clients with high quality advice and deliver value through new ways of working.
We offer training contract opportunities in our London and Bristol offices open to law and non-law students and graduates. Through our innovative Trainee Skills Academy, you’ll get access to the best training and support across a broad range of essential skills, such as client, commercial, people and technical. During the training contract, you’ll complete four six month seats in different practice areas ensuring you will have a broad legal experience and a balanced, integrated approach to gaining the knowledge, expertise and abilities you will need to qualify in the practice area of your choice. You can also apply to go on a client or international secondment as one of the seats. As part of our commitment to integrated working practices, all future trainees study the LPC at BPP in London. We will cover your full tuition fees for law school and offer a maintenance grant of £7,000 for the GDL and £7,500 for the LPC.
We’re looking for trainees who have great intellectual abilities, but who can also show that they have initiative and drive. So while we’re interested in your academic successes, we also want to see your potential. That’s why our assessment process focuses on the raw skills you have now, not just on what you have achieved.
Competition for our Training Contracts is extremely high as we recruit a large proportion of our trainees through our vacation schemes with only a limited number of places available to direct applicants. Please note that we fill all of our roles on a first come first served basis, we therefore advise you to apply as soon as possible and put your very best into it. Applications open 01 November 2016.
