"I was asked about what I had done previously and asked to solve some problems based on the industry I was entering. Additionally, it was useful to know about basic business and operations management principles as these were a part of the assignments given during the assessment centre."

I was then interviewed by two senior engineers who questioned my answers and thought process. I would advise maintaining a good knowledge of soil mechanics, geotechnical design, site investigation (including lab and field tests) and ground remediation. Also, be able to answer the 'why' and not just the 'what' as it is your thought process and understanding that is being tested."
