A chance to spend two years gaining a rich array of analyst experiences with a FTSE 100 company and leading energy and services supplier.
Who We're Looking For
Highly numerate graduates who have a very strong interest in applying analytical techniques. You’ll also need:
- Minimum 2:1 degree (2:2 if combined with a Master’s)
- Ability to work effectively with a wide range of people, including colleagues, technical experts, business leaders and external parties
- Entrepreneurial instinct so you can identify opportunities for innovation and growth
What You'll Be Doing
At Centrica, we keep millions of homes and businesses running and work hard to support the changing needs of our customers. To ensure our strategy remains adaptive and successful, we need to engage in a wide range of sophisticated analytical activity.
As a graduate analyst, you’ll take on a series of three placements which could potentially expose you to any aspect of this work. From evaluating customer behaviour in highly competitive retail markets to predicting how much energy they will need in the future. From exploring how energy can be generated and stored to making major investment and hedging decisions to secure future supplies of gas and electricity.
The placements themselves are also extremely varied, ranging all the way from highly technical positions to commercial analyst roles in some of the most innovative areas of our business.
You’ll be stretched and challenged throughout the programme, as you work with diverse data sets and get to grips with industry-leading analytics and insight tools. There will be lots of opportunities for you to learn along the way, not just through formal training sessions but also from the more experienced analysts working alongside you.
